PERTH is on track to smash its June rainfall average with another wet weekend on the way after a chilly week.
Heavy rain is expected on Saturday and continuing into Sunday, which could see up to 50mm fall over the city.
The weather is likely to be similar to the rains we had earlier this month.
So far this month Perth has recorded 118.6mm of rain, almost reaching its June average of 124.5mm.
The latest cold front is likely to not only wash out this city average but also send good rains inland to the farmers.
There is also a possibility of severe storms developing, with the Bureau of Meteorology to issue a warning if required.
Swells will also be monitored closely following the recent beach erosion.
The wet weather will also coincide with Saturday being the winter solstice, or the shortest day of the year.
