Tyler BrownJoondalup Times

WHITFORD Hockey Club is preparing to move from MacDonald Reserve in Padbury to the new Warwick Hockey Centre.

The $6.5 million facility at Warwick Open Space includes one synthetic and two grass pitches, a 250-seat function room with bar facilities, commercial kitchen and a merchandise store to be run by recently retired Kookaburra and five-times International Player of the Year Jamie Dwyer.

The club plans to move to the facility early in the winter season. Until then, it is hosting a club registration day at MacDonald Reserve this Saturday from 11am to 2pm.
