Whitfords Lions Club community fair turns 25

THE Whitford Lions Club is celebrating 25 years of holding its annual community fair.

The event will be held at MacDonald Reserve in Padbury from 10am to 4pm on April 2 and will have market stalls, farm animals, the ride-on Girrawheen train, gymbus, bouncy castle and showbags.

Inside the Fleur Freame Pavilion will be the Lions Food Hall with curries, burgers, sausage sizzle and Devonshire tea.

Radio Lollipop will run live entertainment and kids activities, the Variety Youth Choir will perform and Twin Cities 89.7fm will broadcast live.

As part of the 25th anniversary celebrations, the club is also holding a free raffle.

Participating stallholders will give out tickets with purchases, with the prize valued at more than $500 including household appliances.

This will be drawn at 1pm during the official opening.
