The six members of the winning 10-share syndicate won $200,762 each.

The family said they were spending their Christmas vouchers at Lakeside Joondalup Shopping City when they decided to pick up their weekly Lotto tickets from The Lucky Charm Joondalup.

“Christmas cheer was still in the air so we were hoping for something magical when we bought the ticket and it’s happened,” a family spokesman said.

He said the win would provide financial security and pay for their children’s education.
