FAMILIES at the Joondalup Early Learning Centre have been collecting items for winter bundles to donate to people in need.

Centre director Josique Lynch said they had collected a variety of items, such as warm pyjamas, toothbrushes and toothpaste, and books that could be bundled up, for less fortunate families.

“For a couple of years the centre has ‘adopted’ the Granny Spiers Centre and supported their various campaigns to provide assistance to families in need,” she said.

“This forms part of our ‘Citizenship and Community’ program, which involves us working in partnership with the families with children enrolled at our centre to teach the children about being caring citizens and participative community members.”
