Woodvale man on drug, weapon charges after home search

POLICE have charged a 26-year-old Woodvale man with drug and firearm offences after searching a home in Robina Court.

It will be alleged that during the search, police found a firearm, a silencer, a quantity of ammunition, approximately 11 grams of methylamphetamine and 20 grams of cannabis.

As a result of the search, the Woodvale man has been charged with unlicensed possession of a firearm, unlicensed possession of ammunition, possession of a silencer and possession of a controlled weapon.

He has also been charged with two counts of possessing a prohibited drug and possession of a prohibited drug with intent to sell or supply.

He was due to appear before the Joondalup Magistrates Court today.
