Woodwork donations sought by Greenwood’s Kira

Lauren PedenJoondalup Times

Kira’s programs are designed to meet their members’ (aged 17 to 65 years) goals and aspirations in life.

Individualised support manager Wendy Simpson said woodwork gave participants a sense of achievement in creating things themselves and a sense of pride when they donated their toys to charity.

She said the group contacted the charities themselves to present them with their work.

The woodwork group is run fortnightly by a volunteer assisted by a staff member.
