Woodvale woodwork students have desire to give

Tyler BrownJoondalup Times

As part of woodwork classes, Year 11 students are producing wooden toys including rocking horses and model planes and trucks to donate to various groups. So far, toys have been given to the Autism Association of WA in Shenton Park, Fremantle and Midland and the Beldon Primary School Education Support Centre.

Teacher John Young said the woodwork course focussed on reducing, reusing and recycling.

“Students enjoy producing toys and working in woodwork in such a positive learning environment which instils a sense of community and giving in the students,” he said.
