Marmion writer release book to inspire creativity

“Throughout my life I have always dabbled in some form of art and writing,” she said.

“Some years ago, a series of children’s books I wrote and illustrated were published in Melbourne but since then, due mainly to poor health, things had come to a bit of a standstill and I felt my dream of making something out of my art and writing had fallen by the wayside.

“Something I had wanted to pursue for a long time was to paint in acrylics but no amount of New Year resolutions seemed able to break through my procrastination.”

She said a magazine article inspired her to create a 10-day painting challenge, which then inspired a year of creative challenges that she documented in her book Grabbing the Muse by the Throat.

“I thought it would be a great way to inspire others to break through their own creative blocks,” she said.

The book is also available online through Amazon and Book Depository.
