Youth Disability Advocacy Network hosting free NDIS workshop

THE Youth Disability Advocacy Network is holding a free workshop in Joondalup on Tuesday.

Titled Youth Taking Charge: NDIS Change, the September 25 event will run from 11am to 3.40pm at ECU for young people with a disability to learn about the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and how to make informed decisions.

There will be presentations from guest speakers from Identity WA, WA Individualised Services and People with Disabilities WA as well as a question-and-answer panel discussion.

Topics covered will include how the NDIS transition will occur, knowing how to prepare for initial planning meetings and learning the skills to raise concerns about NDIS plans and how to make an appeal against decisions.

Registrations will include lunch, afternoon tea and refreshments.
