THE final stage in property group Peet’s Kinross estate was launched last weekend following strong buyer demand.

The 21 infill lots ranging from 315sq m to 532sq m start from $260,000.

Kailah Maas and her partner Kirk Cosgrove found Kinross was the perfect fit for what they wanted in their first home.

“We decided to build because we wanted something that was ours, that we did together and that we can decide what goes where,” Miss Maas said.

“The next step was finding the perfect location.

“We knew we wanted to be north of the river and we fell in love with Kinross as it’s an already established area that has a lot of character.”

Miss Maas, who works for the Department of Justice in the Perth CBD, and Mr Cosgrove, who is based in Henderson as an technician, said the location suited their lifestyle.

“It’s a great location and close to the freeway which is perfect for us,” she said.

“It’s also really close to the beach, where we spend a lot of time in summer.

“I also grew up in Quinns Rocks and my Mum and brothers still live there, so the area is quite familiar to me and of course it will be nice to be near family.”

The couple is one of many young first-home buyers attracted to the affordable land on offer at the estate.

“We’d been looking for a little while, but everything seemed to be out of our price range until we found Kinross,” Miss Maas said.

“We’ve been told that there are a lot of young people building in the area, which will be nice.”

Bordered by MacNaughton Crescent and Grangemouth Turn, the estate has MacNaughton Park on its doorstep, Kinross Central is in walking distance and Burns Beach just a short drive away.
