The World Championship veteran and three-time Australian Champion is this year riding for Kawasaki on board the new Ninja ZX-10R.
After competing in the first round in Aragon, Spain from April 1 to 3, Staring is in 12th position with four points.
Coming off a disappointing last year, this will be the 28-year-old’s sixth year in Europe, where he has also competed in World Superbike, Supersport, Superstock and MotoGP events.
Staring said he was more determined and motivated than he had been for a long time and was looking forward to working with a new team this season. The next round will be held this weekend in the Netherlands.
