HILLARYS horse rider Jordan Hill recently returned from the Special Olympics World Summer Games in Abu Dhabi with silver medals.

“It was the most amazing things that any of us have ever experienced and one that Jordan has not stopped talking about,” his mother Maria Scurria said.

“Jordan made Australia proud; he came home with two silver medals and one fifth.

“He made many new friends from around the world and was a great ambassador for Australia.”

Mr Hill was born premature about 32 weeks into his mother’s pregnancy and as a result of complications during birth, he has intellectual development global delay and dyspraxia verbal and motor.

When he was about eight years old, his therapist suggested that he might benefit from horse riding to develop his core strength and confidence.

He rides at Riding for the Disabled in Carine and Claremont Therapeutic Riding Centre.
