PREMIERSHIPS are not easy, so winning three straight is something special no matter what level of sport.

Joondalup Kinross Cricket Club has been revelling in the glory of the achievement since taking a three-peat in the North Suburban Community Cricket Association A- grade grand final at its home ground in Joondalup last month.

The club has beaten three different opponents in three years – Quinns, Wanneroo and this year Ballajura.

Senior players AJ Sutcliffe, Kevin Adair and Cam Sutcliffe were the only members of the team there for each of the triumphs.

Joondalup-Kinross was chasing 127 and passed it with more than a session to play, reaching 2-131 for an eight-wicket win.

Tim Leaver finished with 4-18.

Adair (53) and Gautam Bhutkar (47) combined for a 100-run opening stand.

The under-13s Green also achieved a premiership on defeating Kingsley Woodvale Gold at Falklands.

Later this year, Joondalup Kinross Cricket Club will celebrate their 25th anniversary with a gala dinner.
