MFL: Warwick Greenwood to celebrate 15 seasons

WARWICK Greenwood Football Club is inviting past players, supporters and sponsors to celebrate 15 seasons of the Bulls.

The event will coincide with the Metro Football League team’s last home game for the season at Percy Doyle Reserve on Sunday, August 20.

The day will kick off at 12.30pm with the division 2 game between Innaloo and Queens Park before a rematch of last year’s division 1 grand final between Warwick Greenwood and reigning premiers Queens Park at 2.30pm.

“This will be a great chance to catch up with old teammates and reminisce about past glories whilst watching the current Bulls fight to keep our finals hopes alive,” coach Jay Carroll said.

“There will be a lot happening on the day including a designated past players area that will include its own host, catering, couches and drink service.

“We will also have the presentation of the first Bovenkirk Medal for best on ground – named after the club’s first captain.”

There will be half time entertainment and games, memorabilia displays, a jumping castle for the kids, two happy hours and “a special unveiling” before the major raffle is drawn.

Guests can also relive the club’s two premierships with replays of the 2011 and 2015 grand finals on the big screen.
