FROM the ocean surf to Avon rapids, Wes Gould continues to impress wherever he competes.

The Mullaloo Surf Life Saving Club 20-year-old is currently preparing for the Ocean6 surf sport series in NSW and Queensland.

Held for six rounds from October to February, it includes ironman and ironwomen, board and surf swim events.

The competition follows from Gould’s success at his first ever Avon Descent where he won the single open ski category in a time of 08:35.09.

Gould had been training for months under the guidance of Glenn Eldon who he said he “would not have even got to the start line without”.
