OUR mindset has to be aggressive against New Zealand in Auckland tomorrow night.

We need to produce a relentless performance similar to what we did in our win over Melbourne.

The Breakers have beaten us in two from two games this season.

If you let them get comfortable, they’ve got world-class shooters like Kirk Penney and Tom Abercrombie, who are going to hurt you.

We’re extremely confident, particularly after having a break.

Coach Trevor Gleeson keeps telling us we’re an older group and while I like to think I’m 30 years young, not old, the break has come at a good time.

Fortunately for us, Damian Martin and Angus Brandt did not play too many minutes when they represented the Boomers during the break.

But having said that, it’s still international basketball and still means they have not had the time off like the rest of us.

We’ve had a very early preparation, arriving in New Zealand mid-week.

It’s paramount we do all we can to condition ourselves properly for this encounter.

They are on a nine-game winning streak so we’re going to be testing ourselves against the best.
