Padbury pro motorcycle racer Bryan Staring inspires new gen

AUSTRALIAN Grand Prix motorcycle racer Bryan Staring was back in town recently to help guide the next generation of professional riders.

The former Padbury resident was a presenter and mentor at Motorcycling WA’s Jet Camp for riders of all disciplines aged 14 to 18 who want to take the sport to the next level.

The four-day off-the-bike event was held at Ern Halliday Recreation Camp in Hillarys, covering topics such as fitness and cross training, diet and nutrition, psychological preparation, preparing a pathway to success and sponsorship.

There were also team-building activities including indoor rock climbing, abseiling and flying fox challenges, volleyball and beach boot camp.
