Phoenix and Dolphins share points: WA Water Polo

Tyler BrownJoondalup Times

Following a two-week break because of a forfeit then a bye, the Phoenix returned to action in Claremont on December 19.

The Phoenix made a great start with the only two goals of the first quarter courtesy of Jessica Reynolds and Claire Pierce.

Another Pierce goal made it 3-0 towards the start of the second period, but the Dolphins rallied.

By three-quarter time, scores were level at 4-4 but two goals from Claire Rechichi and Alicia Anderson at the start of the fourth put the Phoenix back on the front foot.

The final two goals went to the Dolphins to finish the game a draw.

The result means North Coast remains in second position.

The competition resumes this Saturday, where the Phoenix will take on Triton at Beatty Park.
