The national event is the culmination of 29 Australian Surf Rower’s League races from around the country.
Mullaloo Pirates will represent WA in the reserve male category.
“They’ve been pushing hard on the infamous ergos (rowing machines) to build the stamina needed to compete against the best in Australia,” surf sports general manager Sandy Clarke said.
“This is a prime opportunity for the Pirates to gain much needed experience in the east coast surf against teams they’ll be competing against at the Australian Championships in April.”
Other divisions competing will be the open, under-23, under-19 and masters.
