A SECOND consecutive double header awaits Joondalup in the State Basketball League this weekend as the men look to recover from two losses and the women hope to continue their return to form.
The Wolves travel to Mandurah tomorrow night then head home to face Perry Lakes on Saturday.
The Lady Wolfpack was on a five-game losing run, but hit its stride with two solid wins in round 10.
Joondalup thrashed Rockingham 71-42 at Mike Barnett Sports Complex on Friday before recording its top scalp of the year with a 74-67 triumph over fourth-placed Willetton in Joondalup on Saturday.
Klara Wischer was at her dominant best against the Tigers, taking game-high stats in points (22) and rebounds (18). Shani Amos claimed seven assists.
The back-to-back wins took the side from eighth to seventh but Joondalup faces a significant challenge to continue its winning run against second-placed Mandurah and undefeated Perry Lakes this weekend.
In the men’s competition, the Wolves were on the end of rare back-to-back defeats after a 78-73 loss to the 11th-placed Flames and 105-93 beating from Willetton.
The double defeat dropped the team from top spot to third.
