THE Joondalup Wolves have signed former Perth Wildcats player Earnest Ross for next year’s SBL season.

The Auburn and Missouri alumni was on the Wildcats NBL roster in 2014-15 and suited up for the Geraldton Buccaneers in 2018.

The Wolves said with broad international experience, the 6’5 Guam-born Oceania athlete was a marquee fit for the club.

Coach Ben Ettridge had played a pivotal role in securing his services, after recognising his talent during the SBL season and more closely at the All-Star weekend.

“We are excited at the prospect of Earnest joining the Wolfpack,” Ettridge said on the club’s website.

“His all-round versatility and play making ability make him the ideal addition at both ends of our system.

“Earnest has the ability to make those around him better, doing what it takes to make the team better also. We cannot wait for he and his new young to be in Wolfpack green, ideally for several years to come.”

The Wolves said they aspired to be the “destination of choice for basketball in WA” and had more than 4000 members.

The club has won nine SBL championships between their men’s and women’s teams.
