WARWICK Senior High School’s specialist netball program is producing great results.
Program co-ordinator Brianna Barber has been named the state’s 12s netball coach for this year.
Last year she took the school’s intermediate team to the grand final of the School Sport WA netball cup, coming runner-up, and the junior team to the preliminary finals.
She also coached two amateur teams in the Wanneroo District Netball Association, with one winning its grand final, was a selector for the state 17s team and apprentice coach for the state 15s, helped with development squads, ran various camps, state and interstate tours, competitions and carnivals and ran a coaching and umpiring course for students.
This year, she is also organising an upper school netball trip to Fiji.
Students Eli Johnston and Ellie Sanzone have been selected for the state 17s squad.
Both were members of WA Netball League’s under-17s team, West Coast Warriors, last year, with Sanzone filling the captain role.
