Surf Life Saving WA: Sorrento SLSC takes second in Surf Premiership Series

SORRENTO Surf Life Saving Club wrapped up more than five months of competition in the Surf Premiership Series in second place.

The club hosted the grand final on February 18 to finish the series on 276 points behind dominant winners Trigg Island SLSC on 588.

The last day of competition saw Sorrento win four gold, eight silver and three bronze medals in team events and 10 gold, eight silver and 10 bronze in individual events.

Winners included Jackson Symonds, Caleb Paulus, Charlie Rigby, Jared Thompson, William Nottingham, Sydney and Charley Rafferty, Felicity Starcevich, Amy Breman, Stephanie Rogers, Cristian Sayers, Tai Kirkpatrick, Macarah Mallis, Toby Waymouth, Jacqueline Lord, Lily Wainwright, Ben Waterman, Jarred Krammer and Lachlan Thomson.

Mullaloo also performed strongly, finishing sixth on 107 points.

The grand final event saw the club win a gold, silver and bronze medal in the team events and another four of each in the individual events.
