Volunteer honoured

Marcus McArthur has played a key role in junior development in the district as co-ordinator of the Warwick Greenwood JFC Auskick program.

McArthur was one of seven state winners selected from around the country as part of the AFL Auskick Volunteer of the Year awards.

As part of the prize, he receives a trip to Melbourne for week one of the AFL finals, complete with two days of hospitality.

He encouraged others to volunteer with their local club.

"It's such an honour to receive this award and to be a part of bringing AFL Auskick to life in our local community," he said.
