Staff WriterJoondalup Times

In bizarre circumstances, surprise qualifiers Peel Cricket Association forfeited the Statewide T20 semi-final due to be played against the Centurions at Iluka Sports Complex on Sunday.

Joondalup faces reigning T20 winners Claremont-Nedlands at the WACA Ground in the decider on Sunday, February 7.

Meanwhile, the Centurions are in the box seat of their round 12 Premier Cricket fixture against Gosnells at Sutherlands Park, which continues on Saturday.

Joondalup’s 9-279 was boosted by a number of quickfire half centuries from its young stars.
