FORMER West Perth president Brett Raponi has returned to the club’s board.

Raponi, who headed up the Falcons from 2009 to 2016, fills the vacant position left by former president Scott Ballem on the new Neale Fong-led board.

“Obviously I have a great love for the club and was encouraged by a number of West Perth FC people that I greatly respect to get involved,” he told Community News.

“I like the vision that Neale and CEO Linda Hamersley have for the club.

“And while the passion is alive, I want to assist the club.”

The club, under new coach Geoff Valentine, has been busy re-signing players, including Dean Munns, Jordan Mills and Jorden Peirce.

Reigning Bernie Naylor medallist Andrew Strijk will continue into his 14th season with the Falcons.

Former captain Luke Tedesco was recently appointed colts coach at South Fremantle under league coach Todd Curley.

Curley is one of three former West Perth coaches coaching at WAFL clubs. Bill Monaghan heads up East Fremantle and Darren Harris is hoping to take Claremont deep into September next season.
