WAFL: West Perth players concentrating on next game rather than money probs

Bill MonaghanJoondalup Times

THERE has been no concern from the playing group about their payments in light of the club’s financial problems highlighted in the news.

West Perth has always found a way to ensure players are paid despite tight finances year to year.

We’re well aware of the tough situation at the club so last week’s reports were not breaking news for us.

Obviously, our main concern is this week’s match against Swan Districts, which is very important for both clubs at Joondalup Arena.

Swans need victory to stay in touch with the top five and we don’t want to let our hold slip on third spot.

Nathan Alexandre and Jordan Mills come back into the side having fully recovered from injury after last weekend’s bye.

Connor West returns from a finger injury but will play reserves.

We’re still unsure of the full extent of Matt Guadagnin’s hamstring injury.

He’s been working on his farm in the Wheatbelt in recent weeks so we haven’t seen him at club.
