ANOTHER elite state sporting team now calls Warwick Stadium home.

WA Volleyball Super League club the Northern Stars has joined the State Basketball League’s Stirling Senators and WA Netball League’s West Coast Warriors to form a trio of high-performance sides at the revamped facility.

The stadium, which is run by the Churches of Christ Sport and Recreation Association (CCSRA), has become an attractive proposition for sporting clubs after last year’s $8 million upgrade.

Men’s Super League captain James Clinch, who also plays for the Perth Hornets in the Australian Volleyball League (AVL), had high praise for the centre.

“It is easily the best volleyball venue we currently play in around Australia for AVL,” he said.

President Jason Galea noted the opportunity for the club, with the ability to access the courts, gym, physio and all the top-level facilities at the stadium.
