Shire of Kalamunda hosting Seniors Week celebrations

Shire president Andrew Waddell said National Seniors Week, from November 1-11, celebrated the contribution made by over- 55s to our community.

The Senior Residents Art Exhibition is themed ‘Pictorial Exchange’ and runs at the Zig Zag Gallery from November 2 to 9.

The Supper Club Variety Show is on Friday, November 4, at the High Wycombe Recreation Centre from 3-6pm.

There will be 1940s to 60s dance music with a live band. Wear your best hat or fascinator to be in the running for fantastic prizes.

On November 7, treat yourself to a free author talk “Desert Deacon”, a session with Reverend Pam Halbert about her courageous life from tragedy to triumph.

On November 9, join in the interactive fun with Seniors Week Bingo at the Woodlupine Family and Community Centre from 1pm-4pm.

Celebrations finish on November 11, with a picnic at Stirk Park from 11.30am-2.30pm.
