City of Kalamunda to host free outdoor movie screenings throughout summer

THE City of Kalamunda is offering free outdoor movie screenings this summer from January 5.

Venues include Stirk Park, the Pickering Brook Sports Club, Perth Observatory in Bickley, Hartfield Park, Jacaranda Springs and Kanyana. Screenings start between 7.30pm and 8pm, depending on sunset, and food vans will be set up from 5.30pm.

City chief executive Rhonda Hardy encouraged people to enjoy the pre-screening entertainment while having a picnic dinner.

“We kick off the summer series with our first screening on January 5, and there is no better way to enjoy the balmy weather than an outdoor screening enjoying a film and a picnic in the summer evenings,” she said.
