Chris Ferreira will host a workshop in Kalamunda later this month.

CELEBRITY presenter Chris Ferreira will join ecologists Mike and Mandy Bamford in an evening showcasing Kalamunda’s unique plants and animal life.

The event, hosted by the City of Kalamunda and the Forever Project, is aimed at inspiring and empowering sustainable communities.

Attendees will be given information on environmental programs and how they can better identify and manage the threats to natural areas in their neighbourhood.

They’ll also get the chance to meet local volunteers who will explain how to become involved with biodiversity protection in the City.

Mayor John Giardina said the City was excited to host the free event which would be a valuable learning experience.

“Biodiversity and the environment are key priorities for residents in the City,” he said.

“We’re pleased to partner with the Forever Project to help deliver important information and encourage the community to get involved.”

The workshop is at the Kalamunda Agricultural Hall on Friday, April 20.
