More than 45 businesses and 16 volunteer associations have signed up to the Customer Attraction Program network.

The program is a collaboration between the City, Swan Chamber of Commerce, the Gazette and Membership Action Division community network.

It offers discounts to members of community volunteer organisations and their families through the Membership Rewards Card.

Chamber acting chief executive and EngelWorld Gun Mart and Tackle owner Graeme Harris said it was a great initiative.

“It’s about community and businesses all working together for the benefit of the whole area,” he said.

“Anything we can do to promote business is a good thing.”

Mr Harris said businesses and community groups could not survive without each other and encouraged people to sign up to the program.

“Communities and businesses that work together do really well,” he said.
