Desperate bid to free crash victims

EMERGENCY services have freed one car occupant and desperately trying to free another after a serious crash east of Perth.

The two-vehicle accident on Dundas and Wittenoom roads in High Wycombe happened just after 7.15pm on Thursday.

Department of Fire and Emergency Services, WA Police and St John Ambulance officers are at the scene.

Fire crews from Welshpool, Midland and Perth rescued the first person about 8.15pm and are working on freeing the second crash victim.

Police have closed the roads.
