Ellenbrook resident Candi McCabe will take part in next week’s RSPCA Cupcake Day to raise funds for animals big and small.

The animal lover has hosted the event for the past four years at her job at Landgate and this year will be baking hundreds of cupcakes for the fundraiser.

She said she was inspired to take part because of her love for animals.

“I love all animals, especially dogs,” she said.

“As well as taking care of my beautiful boxer Tabitha, I foster rescue dogs until they find their forever homes.

“I also love baking, so it’s the perfect way for me to contribute to this important cause.”

Ms McCabe said she hoped to raise at least $1000.

“I’ll be baking an array of delicious cupcakes, which my colleagues at Landgate can purchase for gold coin donations,” she said.

“I’ll be selling doggie treats officially approved by my fur baby Tabitha and running cupcake themed raffles and competitions.”

She said her dog Tabitha would also be helping during the event.

“Tabitha is my taste tester, along with her friend Jodie the kelpie,” she said.

“Tabitha also ensures that there are plenty of dog treats available for the Landgate fur babies, who can’t make it to the office.”
