Kalamunda woman (45) charged with alleged stealing of nearly $2m

MAJOR Fraud Squad detectives have charged a 45-year-old Kalamunda woman for allegedly stealing nearly $2 million while a legal practitioner at a city law firm.

It will be alleged between 2013 and 2017, she stole more than $1.9 million from a solicitor’s trust account.

The money, which included funds held for distribution to deceased estates, had been held in trust for clients of the law firm.

The woman has been charged with nine counts of stealing as a servant.

She is due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court on March 12.
