MIDLAND Gate is taking part in a fundraiser for the Swan City Youth Service.
Febfast raises funds to help young people facing serious disadvantage, including alcohol and other drug use by encouraging abstinence for the 28 days in February.
More than 12 per cent of people in Australia aged 16 to 24 are affected by problematic substance use affecting their lives, opportunities and community.
Of this 12 per cent, one third are living with anxiety and one fifth with a mood disorder.
Funds raised through Febfast go to the Swan City Youth Service.
The service works to provide a one-stop-shop for young people, providing a range of educational, recreational, life skill, art and music programs and a variety of services, ranging from counselling through to medical clinics and accessing social services.
Midland Gate hopes to raise $10,000 for the Swan City Youth Service through Febfast. One lucky donor will win a $200 Midland Gate gift card just by being part of the campaign.
Shoppers can support Midland Gate by visiting www.febfast.org.au, searching “Midland Gate” and joining the team or providing a small donation.
