A SHOPPER was thrilled to learn he had won the major prize in a recent charity raffle.
Kenyon Lee is now the proud owner of a Mazda CX-5.
He bought the winning ticket from Woolworths at Midland Centrepoint shopping centre and drove home in his new car last Wednesday.
The raffle was a partnership between AHG, Telethon, and Woolworths supermarkets and was conducted in September.
More than 60,000 tickets were sold at the cash registers in WA stores, with all proceeds going directly to Telethon. The raffle was drawn as part of the $500,000 donation presented on Telethon Weekend.
The second prize of a year’s worth of groceries valued at $7800 was sold at a Karratha store. The third prize, a $3000 Flight Centre voucher, was sold at the St Georges Terrace store.
Woolworths group manager Aimee Brackstone-Brown, who runs six metropolitan stores in the City of Swan and shires of Mundaring and Kalamunda, handed Mr Lee the keys to his new car.
