Fete spokesman Kelwin Wong said the P&C team hoped the fete would help raise funds for nature play areas throughout the school.

“We also hope to create a fun, entertaining day out for the wider community, while showcasing the excellence of Edney Primary School,” he said. “We anticipate one of the most popular opportunities will be to try and dunk the principal, Mr Chaplin.”

LJ Hooker Kalamunda and Foothills is the dunk tank sponsor.

Other attractions for the event include an all-day ride band for the mini Ferris wheel, bumper cars, bucking bulls, laser tag and bouncy castles.

Local sports groups in attendance will display football, hockey, taekwondo and tennis, and the Perth Scorchers mascot will be on site.

Entertainment sponsor Forrestfield MLA Nathan Morton is backing local performers, with presentations by Guildford Grammar’s Boodjar Bidi Traditional Indigenous Dance Troupe and Wairua Tipuna Kapa Haka Group.

Major sponsor Friendlies Pharmacy High Wycombe will provide ancillary support in addition to financial assistance.
