Police investigate attempted child abduction in Kalamunda

POLICE are investigating reports of a man behaving suspiciously in Kalamunda, after what is believed to be an attempted child abduction, reported by Community News yesterday morning.

About 7.45am on Wednesday, the man approached a young girl riding her bicycle along Orange Valley Road near the junction of Coral Road.

The man offered the girl a lift to school.

The girl became alarmed by his behaviour and the man left the area in his car, believed to be a navy blue four-door sedan, with a black stripe along the bottom that had white motifs on it.

The man is described as 60 to 70-years old, fair skinned, with shaved white hair and a bald spot, a goatee, and he was wearing sunglasses.

Detectives would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the man speaking to the girl, or who has dash-cam or CCTV footage in the vicinity of Orange Valley Road around the above time.
