Police investigate shocking animal cruelty case

WA Police and the RSPCA are investigating a disturbing case of animal cruelty outside a child care facility in Perth’s hills.

RSPCA WA received a disturbing report from police regarding a crow and a southern brown bandicoot, which were found bludgeoned to death.

The animals were found in the car park of the Kids Inn OSCH Club in Kalamunda on Thursday afternoon just after 4.00pm.

RSPCA WA are appealing for anyone in the surrounding area with information that could help to identify the person or persons responsible.

Anyone with information is asked to call the RSPCA Cruelty Hotline on 1300 278 358.

Anyone convicted of animal cruelty under the Animal Welfare Act 2002, carries penalties of a fine up to $50,000 and imprisonment for up to 5-years.
