Stratton twin sisters have designs on success

Sally McGlewMidland Kalamunda Reporter

The Stratton sisters have been individually designing fashion for two years, but this year decided to combine their styles on the catwalk.

Ms Morley’s collection, Daughter of Capulet, has a romantic vintage feel with small floral fabrics.

She has combined her love of theatre and fashion in the label’s name.

Bailey’s label is JAXmotel and features a beach resort look with prints and materials that suggest relaxation and recreation.

“We want buyers to feel that every day is like a summer holiday,” Ms Bailey said.

“We have been running our labels since 2014 by sourcing pieces locally and interstate, but this year we have both decided to go into a new direction with our brands, by launching our own original collections, with RAW being our first runway show,” Ms Morley said.

“We designed our pieces and sourced patterns, prints and materials to suit the labels, with Carin Fraser sewing the pieces to create the final creations.”

RAW will be held at Rosemount Hotel on Thursday, October 6.
