Wattle Grove: quills cafe a feather in couple’s cap

A NEW restaurant which has opened in Wattle Grove promises to offer local produce for diners and celebrate local wines from the region.

WA Minister for small Business Sean L’Estrange joined with Member for Forrestfield Nathan Morton in opening the new restaurant called Quills Bar and Eatery in the Wattle Grove shopping centre.

Owners Matt and Linzi Moore said they wanted to source local produce and meals from suppliers in the shire.

Hainault, Fairbrossen and Myattsfield Wineries will supply the wines for the eatery and food will be sourced from Williams Meats in Forrestfield.

The theme of Quills is designed to reflect the history of Wattle Grove as a poultry farm area.

Mr L’Estrange said the couple showed entrepreneurship and commitment in opening a new venture.

“The Wattle Grove shopping centre is an outstanding facility for the local area and I’m sure Quills Bar and Eatery will add tremendous amenity for local patrons.”

The shopping centre also offers a gym, child care centre and specialty stores.
