Football: Kalamunda Cougars have good weekend

Justin BianchiniMidland Kalamunda Reporter

The colts kicked the day off at Hamersley Carine with a resounding 141-point win, kicking 25 goals for the day. Trent McDonnell and Vaughn Thompson led the way in a confidence building result.

The reserves recorded a one goal win 9.7 (61) to 8.7 (55). No mention again this week for captain Beau Barratt, with Nathan Warwick and Jayden Lee doing the damage for the Cougars. Coach Russell Banks would no doubt be proud, but as he failed to show at the club Saturday night, nobody can be sure.

The league team recorded its first win of the season, winning 10.7 (67) to 7.7 (49). Matthew Outridge was among the votes again, with Snap Chat Legend Mitchell McKenzie leading the way both in Saturday’s game and on Thursday night’s photo fines night.
