WHAT happens when a bunch of beginners join an adult tap class?

Find out when feel-good classic Stepping Out plays at Koorliny Arts Centre this month.

Each of the eight students, who come from a variety of backgrounds, has their own reason for joining.

Whatever the cause, they make a point of coming every week to chat, relax, and if they can manage to, learn a couple of dance steps.

But the steps and routines are just the background for the real focus of the play; the relationships and interactions of these very different people.

By their final performance, not only have the class members developed some degree of skill, they have also overcome the inhibitions, awkwardness and personality conflicts that have kept them out of sync.

Stepping Out is the final production in the Koorliny Arts Centre and Kwinana Industries Council 2017 Performance Season.

Performance dates are November 10, 11, 17, 18, 24 and 25 at 8pm, and November 12, 19 and 25 at 2pm.

Tickets are now on sale and cost $25 standard, $23 concession and $18 children.
