Baldivis Belles a vision for the ages

Mrs Tammen put the word out on social media that she wanted to form a Baldivis CWA branch and was overwhelmed with the response.

The Baldivis Belles was formed and now has more than 25 financial members.

“We are an all inclusive group catering for the young and old,” Mrs Tammen said.

“We are inter-generational and it’s nice to connect with others of different ages.”

The working mother said she was excited about the new branch.

“The CWA started in 1924 and is the largest women’s group in Australia,” she said.

“Improving the lives of others is what the CWA is all about, so we are going to definitely be doing that with much enthusiasm.”

Mrs Tammen hopes to fundraise for local community needs and CWA State projects, host a variety of monthly craft sessions and invite interesting and inspirational guest speakers to meetings.

“These will al be on weeknights and weekends to so it can be accessible to more women in our community,” she said.
