A COOLOONGUP man has been fined over his choice of jewellery.
Jamie Mark Patten-Williams was convicted in his absence on charges of possessing cannabis and a prohibited weapon.
The prosecutor said police were conducting a search at his home in Cooloongup when he returned home at 6.50pm on August 10.
Seeing he had his right hand in his pocket, police told him to slowly remove it. He did, and exposed his hand with a set of knuckle dusters on it.
Patten-Williams told police he wore them as rings, as he always lost individual rings. Police also found 5g of cannabis.
Magistrate Leanne Atkins ordered destruction of the drugs and weapon.
She also fined him $900.
