THE CWA Kwinana branch was presented with an engraved diamond-shaped paperweight in honour of it’s 60th birthday celebrations today.
Kwinana Mayor Carol Adams OAM also offered CWA Kwinana branch president Maureen Soady a small donation from the City of Kwinana.

READ NOWCr Adams said the local bowling and golf clubs were also celebrating their 60th milestone years, and she thanked the CWA for their contribution to the community over the years.
She acknowledged Maureen’s comments that the CWA was more than a great cookbook and craft skills, saying there were 9 million women in over 75 countries involved in the organisation.
The Kwinana branch formed in 1959 and held its 60th celebrations in the hall of the Teasdale Masonic Village on Christmas Avenue.
Members from several CWA branches enjoyed a choir performance by Calista Primary School students.
