Victoria RificiWeekend Kwinana Courier

INVESTIGATIONS are underway following an ammonia leak at the Kwinana Beach Jetty terminal on Saturday

A CSBP spokesman said ammonia was released into the atmosphere at 10.30am Saturday morning during a routine unloading of the liquid gas.

He said ammonia was being transferred from a supply ship to an onshore CSBP storage tank.

“The amount of ammonia released was small, but emergency services were notified immediately by CSBP representatives,” he said.
