THE Kwinana Men’s Shed has officially opened on Seabrook Avenue, offering a shared space for men to tinker and create while supporting one another.
Kwinana MLA Roger Cook said it showed how dedicated volunteers could achieve big things.
“I look forward to seeing this group further develop and engage with our community, as I know they will make a positive and worthwhile contribution to the wellbeing of many needing support in Kwinana,” he said.
Kwinana Alumina Refinery community relations officer Scott Hansen said Alcoa’s refinery had been an early supporter of the shed, donating $3000.
“The benefits that Men’s Sheds provide to the community through improving connectedness and capacity are well known,” he said.
